Mexican company Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana (TAM) for the first time ever started mass production of rocket backpacks or belts, called Rocket Belt. Now they are available on the market. The rocket pack uses hydrogen peroxide for fuel. It can lift a person weighing up to 136 kilos.

The gadget allows the top speed of almost 100 km/h and can lift you up to about 100 m. However, the available fuel allows only a 20 – 30 seconds long flight, so the rocket backpack in effect is just an entertainment gadget or sports appliance, definitely not a means of transportation. TAM is offering these devices at $250 thousand.

The price includes 10 training flights under supervision of an instructor and a machine to make hydrogen peroxide at home (the makers' idea is, it should save a lot of money in running costs). Plus round the clock technical support.
