Gulfstream is expanding the fleet

At the 61st business aviation exhibition NBAA 2008 in Orlando the company Gulfstream Aerospace officially announced the launch of the production programme of the new middle-class business jet Gulfstream G250. The new aircraft will become a "successor" of the model G200 which is currently in production.

The aircraft performance characteristics of Gulfstream G250 will be modified in comparison with its predecessor`s. The business jet can boast the largest cabin in its class. The newest aircraft will be able to cover the distance of 3400 nautical miles at a speed of 0.80 Mach. The initial cruising altitude will be 41,000 feet, the maximum altitude – 45,000 feet.

The company Gulfstream Aerospace has chosen the engines Honeywell HTF7250G as power units for G250. The business jet will be equipped with the aircraft instrumentation PlaneView® and the avionics Pro Line Fusion by Rockwell Collins.

The company Gulfstream Aerospace is planning to enter Gulfstream G250 into the market by 2011. The maiden flight is scheduled for the second half of 2009.
